One of the most pesky problems for those who often change ROM, or tries to achieve some optimization “at risk” is that of having to reinstall all applications from scratch in case of failure. It’s actually a problem even for someone used to prevent, want to have a copy of all of your programs. Today for you to analyze an application must-have: Titanium Backup. Given the premise, and explaining the name of the software, I would say that its function is rather obvious, but other interesting surprises hidden among the menu. As for others, there are 2 versions, Lite and Pro The first has several limitations, but for safety and rescue of some minor surgery on the phone is just fine. The second costs about 4 €, but it provides many useful tools, especially for those who squeezes the most out of your system.

On the Rights of Root I’m going to write a complete article, but I need to clarify briefly the concept here. Get permission of Root allows us to log on as administrator all the device files. Even those who are part of the heart of the OS. Because of their extreme potency of these rights, in Android, by default, are inhibited. Obviously there are at least two reasons for this legitimate choice: stability and security. For those who can move around Android, however, represent a serious limitation. Titanium uses these permits to move the system files for backup and recover data. On the left you can see the homepage of the application. With “Backup / Restore” to access the primary function of the app. It goes to a screen with a list of all our applications, even those of the system. And through the simple tap you can decide whether to back it up, lock them, uninstall or delete the data. I find that the blocking and removal are the two most important possibilities of this software. And ‘the custom, for manufacturers of smartphones, programs are not required to enter into the official rom of your devices, with the uncomfortable result of being unable to delete.
Some surely it makes no difference to have some app “too” in your phone, but I prefer to clean up unnecessary. Therefore Titanium Backup I found a valuable ally and will be for all those who, like myself, prefer to choose in full freedom their software library. And ‘only right of me to point out that there is no need of extreme caution in interacting with the system applications. Eliminating some, or blocking, you may affect the proper operation of the phone. So always put a lot of attention to what you do.
There are other interesting features to explore. Using the menu button, you can open a pop-up that provides a convenient filter to choose whether to display only what we have installed personally or anything, program preferences; operations to make, renew and restore backups, and, through the arrow “other” some less common operations. For example: Place links applications with the market, clean the Dalvik cache from old files and create a file update. Finally, returning to the tab at the top, you can go to the planning, that provides access to the automatic scheduling of backups.
