The iOS7 is a mobile operating system for the Apple iPhone devices. It is the newest operating system from Apple Inc. that is coming out in the Fall of 2013. You are probably thinking, “This will be just like the previous operating systems, but with only minimal changes. It will be no different than the common iPhone model upgrades.” Well, the new iOS7 does have a variety of new features besides a newly designed user interface with different looking icons. There have been a lot of advancements made in the overall functionality of the operating system as well. For example, there is a new control center in the operating system that gives users fast and easy access to their most frequently used apps. All it takes is one swipe from any screen if you want to make changes to your controls, like switching to Airplane mode, turning on Wi-Fi or simply adjusting the level of brightness on your screen. You can even turn on flashlight mode with one swipe.
Another new feature included in this operating system is the AirDrop. This will come in handy for those who’d like to send photos or documents to others without having to email or text them. The catch is that the recipients have to be physically close to the sender in order for it to work. With AirDrop, the sender only has to tap “Share” on their iPhone and then everyone else around with a mobile device will receive their photos or documents through the Wi-Fi connection. Since users are always wanting more conveniences from their iPhones, this new control feature will certainly become popular fast. Even older people that are not as good at texting manually will appreciate the ease of AirDrop’s functionality.
One thing that people love to do on their iPhones is multitask. On the iOS7, multitasking is going to be a whole lot easier because of the operating system’s enhanced artificial intelligence. The way it works is after you start using your iPhone for a little while, the operating system will memorize the apps you like to use and the average time of day that you like to use them. Then, it will update the content of your apps automatically before your regularly scheduled time of use. After that, it will turn the app on automatically around the same time you commonly use that app. This is what the multitask feature does and it will help people access their favorite apps without having to tap anything.
